The difference between the return and outlet of central air conditioning

2023-05-17

As the name suggests, the central air conditioning outlet is to blow out cold air, and the central air conditioning return outlet is to absorb indoor air.

1. Diffuser shape
The air conditioning outlet is generally a square diffuser, which is arranged in a square row and can be disassembled in multiple layers. It is generally connected with fireproof canvas without a filter screen, and the surface will be very clean; When delivering cold air, there may be water droplets hanging on it! The return air vents of air conditioners are mostly rectangular, also known as single (double) layer louvered air vents, and have filter screens. If not cleaned frequently, black dust will accumulate on the surface of the air vents in corners, making it easy to distinguish; The main function of the return air outlet is to suck back dirty air.

2. Indoor unit capacity size
Due to the fact that only air conditioning vents can be seen indoors, the size of the air conditioning vents is crucial. If the design is not reasonable, it will cause visual pollution and bring a lot of trouble to use. The air conditioning air outlet needs to be flexibly adjusted during the actual design and installation process based on home decoration. The size of the air outlet/return outlet depends on the indoor unit capacity.

3. Different tuyere areas
If the size of the air conditioning vent is too large and the air duct is too long, the airflow speed will decrease, thereby affecting the effectiveness of air conditioning use; If the size of the air conditioning vent is too small, the airflow speed will increase, which can cause discomfort on the human body caused by direct wind blowing, and may also cause excessive noise. There are three main methods for air conditioning supply and return: side supply and return, bottom supply and return, and side supply and return. Due to the fact that the wind speed of the air conditioning return outlet is generally greater than that of the air outlet, when the air volume is constant, the area of the return air outlet is larger than that of the air outlet.
