What is the function of fire damper?


The working principle of fire dampers installed in central air conditioning and smoke exhaust systems is not the same.

The fire damper is installed in the central air conditioning duct system, and its working principle is to use the temperature control of the extremely fusible alloy installed on the valve. By utilizing the action of gravity and spring mechanism, when a fire occurs, the flame invades the duct, causing the fusible alloy on the valve to melt at high temperature, or causing deformation of the memory alloy to cause the valve to automatically close. It is used in situations where the duct runs through the fire compartment.

The fire damper is installed on the smoke exhaust system pipeline, and the smoke damper is usually closed. When a fire occurs, a continuous large amount of smoke sensing information is detected through the smoke detector set in the floor partition to interlock and open the smoke damper. The signal is fed back to the fire monitoring host, and the smoke exhaust fan in the corresponding area is interlocked and opened to achieve the purpose of smoke exhaust.

1. 70 ° fire damper, fire regulating valve, normally open valve, 70 ° closed valve, generally installed at the crossing firewall of ventilation and air conditioning pipelines, serving as a fire shut-off function. It can be set to output electrical signals. When the smoke sensitivity exceeds 70 ° C, the valve is closed, and the interlocking supply (supplement) fan is closed;

2. Smoke and fire control regulating valve, normally open, closed at 70 degrees, but with an additional electrical signal input, it can be remotely controlled and closed by the fire control room. It is generally used in the common air duct system for daily air supply and fire air replenishment. In case of fire, it can be controlled to close rooms that do not require air replenishment;

3. The 280° fire damper, with a 280°fuse closure, is normally open and outputs an electrical signal, but the fuse temperature is different. It is generally used for automatic fuse closure when the smoke temperature exceeds 280 ° C at the point where the smoke exhaust pipe passes through the firewall, and can interlock to shut down the smoke exhaust fan.
